Rijksmuseum App Redesign Enhances Chinese Experience

With a complete smartphone app redesign, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is now even more accessible to Chinese visitors.

In addition to providing Chinese-language multimedia tours, the app redesign allows users to browse and save 340,000+ artworks in Rijksstudio. Available on the App Store and Google Play, the app allows museum-goers to create a tailored exhibition itinerary. With the simple press of a button, the institution’s interactive floor plan and navigation system guides guests to handpicked masterpieces as well as to gift shops and cafés.

To sweeten the deal, shoppers get a 10% discount at the Rijksmuseum Shop when they present the app at checkout.

The Rijksmuseum is a leader when it comes to harnessing technology to improve the visitors experience. Having developed the app starting in 2013, the Amsterdam institution has continually redesigned its product brining more than 325,000 works of art to the fingertips of visitors.
